goodies the mail man delivered: Palladio, Avalon Organics, MAC, Urban Decay

Palladio

Since it's super hott I thought I should invest in some blotting tissues & powder. I was intrigued by the Palladio brand because it's derived from rice and most importantly it is not tested on animals. The rice paper & rice powder come in different shades and since I was ordering online I just got all of the ones that were available to test them out.

(left to right rice paper in translucent, natural, warm beige, and rice powder in translucent, natural, warm beige)

Avalon Organics

I've been into taking really good care of my skin lately, I saw a review on the Avalon Organics Vitamin C Vitality Facial Serum. It claims to brighten skin and reverse the harmful affects of the sun. I searched around for a good deal and found the cheapest price at Vitacost. The price was $13.91 compared to $22.54 @ Walmart. I went ahead and ordered two the shipping was $5.00 & I found a coupon at retailmenot that offered a free vitamin case :) I will do a full review of this soon.

Now to things received in swapsies :)

miracles do happen

I’ve always been the late bloomer. I was the last one out of my group of friends to get her monthly visitor. My bosom buddies arrived pretty late to the party too and weren’t anything spectacular. I was a small B my freshman year in College and I felt so unfeminine. I was always pretty self conscious of my small frame I weighed like 110lbs and was 5’7. I just felt like an ugly duckling and promised myself that by age 21 I would get a boob job. When I turned 21 I remembered my little promise to myself and started looking for a doctor to do my surgery. I went in for consults and found the doctor he gave me a quote and I started to save up for it. Unfortunately, I had a lot of awful things happen to me during that period of time. One of the major things was when my boyfriend at the time beat me and left me bedridden for a month. It was a very pivotal point in my life I stopped eating, I wanted to die, and it took countless months of therapy to bring me back to life. During those sessions, I realized that I didn’t need to butcher my body to feel better. I just learned to love myself :)

Now I’m one month shy of my 23rd birthday and it feels like my bosom buddies have sprouted over night. I noticed that my bras were just fitting too tight and the cup wasn’t covering much. I kept avoiding it but after being pressured by my husband I finally decided to head over to Victoria’s Secret. I was fitted and tried on like 10 bras the SA wrote down my size and told me to head the lobby to choose what colors I wanted and to my surprise my bosom buddies really really really grew to a whopping size 34D. I picked up three bras that can be easily worn under tshirts and one was a strapless convertible bra for tanks & racer backs.

FOTD: Maybelline dream matte mousse & the return of the pouty face ;)

The pouty face totally does not suit me :( but it was the only picture that came out ok (super FAIL) So the reason for this FOTD was to try out the maybelline dream matte mousse foundation. The coverage is fuller than I expected it pretty much covered all of my imperfections and for that it gets an 5 gold starts. I look like a pissed off chola LOL

Face products
Face Primer: Smashbox Photofinish oil-free
Foundation: Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse “natural Beige”
Concealer: MUFE 5 camo cream palette
Powder: Prep+Prime “Transparent Finishing Powder”

Eyes
Brow: elf brow kit in medium & elf clear brow gloss
Brow Bone: MAC eyeshadow brule
Eye lid: Rubanesque paint pot
Eyeliner: NYX brown
Waterline: NYX black
Mascara: Maybelline lash stilletto for upper lashes Rimmel sexy curves for lower lashes

Powder
Blush: Flirt 04 Dapple Apple
Bronzer: Benefit Dallas

Lips
Pencil: NYX Natural
Lipstick: Elf nicely nude

More on the Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse. The coverage again was excellent & it did not break me out. I noticed that a lot of ppl had complained about it looking oily but I didn't experience that maybe because I set it with the prep+prime. I usually have issues with foundation caking around my nose area but this one didn't do that. I do feel that the color might have been a little too dark for my skin so next time i'm gunna mix it with my tru match which is too light.

goodies the mail man delivered: R&R, Ardell, MAC, UD, Stila and more

Madame Madeline
I am very very pleased with the Madame Madeline website. I placed the order at noon and received the package at 10am the next day. I love ardell’s 105 lashes and it seems like everyone else does too because they are always out of stock at target.

(Ardell’s #105 & #109 @ $2.60 each)

acw mini haul
I ordered from All Cosmetics Wholesale for the 1st time. The process went pretty smoothly except for the weather did not cooperate. I ordered on Sunday and received the shipment on Thursday shipping was $7.50

SMASHBOX Lip Gloss 4.99 Agent u/b)

I don’t like to order stuff in the summer because it’s too darn hott but since i didn’t really order any lipsticks i thought i would be fine but nooo stupid so cal weather it was 98 degrees today. So, the Stila bronzing powder pan totally came apart from the compact so i had to glue it with a hot glue gun & the kajal liner tip was melted so I popped that in the freezer :( It also came with a free gift a HIP gloss in Gallant & a prescriptives pencil sharpener.

(swatches Agent, Topaz, Shade 02, Dallas)

not liking my MU set up :( HELP!

I'm really frustrated with my vanity set up. It's gotten to the point where it's causing anxiety. I just don't have that much space to work with and these storage containers aren't cutting it. They make the space look much more cluttered.

Under the desk I have one of those 3 pull out drawer rubbermaid things full of back ups, lashes, extra brushes, brush cleaner, brush roll, and make up bags. Then right beside it I have a bedside drawer full of hair styling tools and hair bobbles. I want to just get right of everything :( HELP ME!!

goodies the mail man delivered

I am obsessed with organizing my make up. I do my research by looking at collection/organization vids on youtube. I noticed that one youtuber has this neat way of organizing her eye & lip pencils in a plastic box. She mentioned in the vid that she had found them at an office supplies store. So, I scoured the internet to find something like it and VOILA!

Deflect-O® Stackable Cube With X Divider

here's a direct link @ Office Depot website for the Stackable Cube. It comes in Black or Clear plastic and it retails for $13.99

I purchased two and used it to organize mascaras, lipgloss, eye&lip pencils, and eyebrow razors.

My awesome friend Audrey sent me the Mary Kay Satin Lips kit. It's most def one of my holy grail products. My lips just get really dry and I have to exfoliate on a daily basis. The product includes the lip mask which is a scrub and a soothing lip balm. It's amazing stuff. THANKS AUDREY!!

Satin Lips Set

Now last but not least, I finally have gotten all the elf products on my wish list. Audrey actually tipped me off she told me that the elf site was having a 60% off sale.

UPDATE: Haul & 1st Blog Sale

First off, I want to apologize for really slacking off on posting. We moved in the beginning of June & it’s been pretty hectic setting up our new place. I’m really happy and comfortable here. Last weekend I went shopping for my sister-in-law’s birthday present. She turned 18!! Such an awesome age :) I’m not sure if this happens to you but every time I go shopping for someone I always end up buying things for myself. Ooops. Well, I hit up the Make Up Trifecta MAC-SEPHORA-ULTA. I really wanted to give her some make up goodies. Since she’s not well versed in the Make Up world. She wears a lot of drugstore stuff & avon. I “Hauled” shamelessly.

Not pictured is what I actually gave my sister-in-law modesty Lippie, peachykeen blush, & the Opulash mascara. The SA @ Macy’s was surprisingly helpful. I always stay clear of make up counters because the SA’s are just plain rude but this SA was super sweet. Oh and I plan on reviewing the UD all nighter spray so expect that soon.

Also I am having a Blog Sale!!! please visit purrrty 4 sale !! for make up, handbags, tshirts, books, nail polish, and many more goodies
