contouring can make your face look slimmer & can draw emphasis to those gorgeous cheekbones.

first off... choose a foundation or powder that is up to two shades darker than your skin tone..

i have two the left one is MAC mineralize skin finish natural in “medium deep”
i use this for my night look

on the right is MAC mineralize skin finish natural in “medium dark” for my day look

the difference is subtle when u look at it.. but they are very pigmented so a little shows up a lot.

they key to contouring is BLENDING ! i use my MAC 168 large angled contour brush.

first start with a little dash of color on ur brush

then suck in your cheeks

shade in with the widest part of the brush in the hollow part of your cheek toward your hairline

for my nighttime look i add a dot of the darker color closer to my hairline

i have an wide asian nose :( that unfortunately doesn’t come to a point so i slim it by shading either side of it starting at the bridge to the nostrils.

I use my MAC 224 brush for this

MAC 224 brush $28 @ mac store, MAC 168 brush $32 @ mac store, MAC mineralize skin finish in natural $25 @ mac store.

Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion
MAC “rubenesque” paint pot

inner lid to mid lid
+ beige

+ green

brow bone/ contour
+ blue

+MAC “brule”

inner lash line

Maybelline black “ultraliner” water proof & MAC “graphblack” eye pencil

+ MAC “sketch”

+ MAC “NW30” studio finish

Leishi !!

i finally got my shipment of Leishi mineral eyeshadows !!

i got 6 different shades
light green

they are soo NICE !! esp for the price i got 24 for less than $15
the colors that i got are super shimmery & pigmented they were really
easy to apply and blend. Only issue i had is that they can be kinda messy
but i guess that's how mineral make up is in general. I LOVE THEM !!

you can find them on ebay :)

so i used to be a slave to MAC bulk wipes
it’s a make up remover w/ moisturizer
but @ $ 26 per pack of 100.
i was really struggling with the idea if it was worth it

so i hit up tar-jay i started realllly low end with some
target brand ones comparable to the neutrogena brand (under $4 !!)
and they did the job just as good as the MAC ones.

then i found another target brand one made comparable to “Ponds clean sweep”
and i think these are the BEST they have little ridges so i feel like it gets more
make up off with one sweep & they’re very soft against the skin
they come infused with chamomile & vitamin E ! (also under $4 !!)

ohh & forget buying blotting paper wipes.
just use kleenex or any napkin will do :)

Bastille my <3 !!

i so desperately want it to be FALL !!

Bastille My Heart
OPI nail polish from “La Collection De France”

according to OPI it’s a "glimmer of rich burgundy"

it retails for like $8+

Again i’m a sucker for CUTE packaging !

check out my this highlighter from The Balm “Mary-Lou Manizer”
it LOOKS amazing & its a lot of product for the price only $22 @ sephora
it comes w/ a mirror its a pressed powder that has tons of shimmerr !!!

foundation in HD

i’m a believer

So ppl have been rating & raving about make up forever’s “high definition foundation”

its been really hard for me to find a foundation that will give me the coverage i need without making me look cakey. So i just kinda settled for clinique’s “even better” foundation it feels wonderful on my skin but i don’t think the color matches my skin as well as other MAC foundations & the coverage is ok but u can still see my freckles :(

kinda on a whim i decided to try the new HD foundation..

Kat @ sephora color matched me in less that 5 seconds she was like ur “127.. now lets not take off ur pretty make up & trust” she said its for medium to full coverage ... i barely put anything on and it had already covered up all the freckles & red spots !! i think it has a really smooth finish (not sticky to the touch like some MAC foundations) but almost silky. I didn’t try the HD primer because i’m really happy with my Laura Mercier primer.

i so love it !!! it survived a night of sushi, clubs, & after parties
no reapplication !! no shiny oily skin !!

i am SO kicking myself for not doing this b4.
because @ work we tell ppl to do this all the time !!!

over the Mac logo & brush #.
just one coat is enough

my birthdy present !!!

i’ve had my eye on the coastal scents palettes for a while now...

sooo i ordered them from the coastal scents online store

88 piece make up palette (matte) $18.95

10 piece professional blush palette $15.95

ultra shimmer 88 eye shadow palette $19.95

fed ex free shipping (ordered on August 19 arrived August 26)

after much debating i am SO glad i got them !!
i was seriously skeptical because of the price that's the cheapest
make up that i have ever purchased. I am so satisfied with the
overwhelming assortment of colors. They are also highly
pigmented i wore a purple look last night (in the scorching heat)
and the color stayed thru dinner & clubbing !!

voila !

pink leopard cheeks

isn’t it just the cutest?!?

i’m seriously a sucker for cute packaging !!

it’s called “Pink Leopard Bronzer” by Too Faced

soo, i’ve been stalking this baby @ sephora
for like a month & it’s been out of stock

its sad every time i’d walk past it i’d swatch it
and get all sad cuz it’s not mine :(

so i found it online @

it was $28

so of course today when i went to sephora it was in stock :(

it loooks gorgeous except i guess i’m too dark so it doesn’t really
show up on my skin as a bronzer but more like a pretty blush.

how to clean your make up brushes

make up brushes need to be properly cared for to ensure their longevity
esp since they are an investment.

i usually spot clean my brushes about once a week
and every 3-4 i give them a good deep shampooing.

for spot cleaning grab a bounty towel
fold it into fours and dab some mac brush cleanser
swipe brush side to side against the towel until
the brush is clean mold the bristles back into shape
& lay flat to dry

for a deep cleanse
take the sponge from inside ur cleansing jar
an moisten with water place sponge back in jar with the blue part down
and add about a nickel sized dab of johnson & johnson baby shampoo
swipe brush side to side against the white bristles of the sponge
use this method for small eye brushes

for face brushes
hold the wooden end of the brush and run only the bristles under water to moisten make sure u do not get the metal part wet !!
add baby shampoo to the palm of ur hand and swoosh the brush back in forth
until it lathers ur palm will be brown at this point rinse the brush & repeat until
the lather is almost white rinse & lay flat to dry

materials needed
- mac brush cleanser 235ml $11 @ mac pro stores
- johnson & johnson baby shampoo $4 @ target
- brush cleansing jar $5.49 @ michaels (found in the brushes section)
- replacement sponges x2 for jar $3.99 @ michaels
you can also visit the online store for the jar loewcornellproducts
(i put the link... because michaels can be a pain to navigate thru)

must have

i’m a HUGE fan of nyx jumbo eye pencils

i use them under my eyeshadows to serve as a base & to make my shadows POP!
and @ $3.50 a piece they’re most def a good investment

total must have color is MILK

they’re usually $3.50 @ ulta or but i found them for $3.00 @
andddddd on top of that they have this back to school sale of 20% off

new home for my brushes

my new ‘sephora’ inspired brush holder

materials & where to buy

mac palettes

so i labeled my mac palettes cuz when i’m playing around
with my shadows i like to remember which color combos
looked the best !

so here goes....

mac palettes are a great way of keeping your eyeshadow collection
neat & organized esp. when u label them just use any chart program on
ur computadoraaa... i used numbers off my mac.

where to buy & price details
- can be found @ mac pro stores or mac online store
- mac pro palettes 15x retail for $12 & the pro palette refill pans (shadows) are $11
