dollar store haulage

          So, I had to run over to my bank real quick because I happened to have misplaced my bank card :( Dohh! The wait was sooo long and it turns out i didn't qualify for a temporary card since my bank account was open in norcal! Damn you San Francisco!! Well, anywho I stepped out and decided to check out the dollar store to see what cheapie things i could find..to my surprise they had a wide selection of NYX lippies, nail polish, and apple mascaras!! I've heard great things about apple mascaras it's a Mexican brand and I planned to do a haul next time I visited Mexico.

          I moved to my new place in early June and I've been getting to know my neighborhood little by little. A fellow member of that board that cannot be mentioned said that there was a place @ the puente hills mall that sold nyx. Well, I happen to live five minutes from that mall so I decided to go for a walk and check it out. The store's name is Chloe's Accessories and they sell hair bobbles, jewelry, && NYX!

          Of course I had to pop my head into MAC :) I was in the mood for a new foundation. My name is Eva & i'm a foundation whore! I have 9 in rotation right now. Well, luckily the MAC SA was super sweet. I tried the studio fix fluid & the Studio tech call me crazy but I kinda like the challenge of a "pancake" foundation. She recommended the blot powder because i brought up my oilyness. I also decided to step out of my nude lips comfort zone & I picked up snob my first pinky lippie. Finally they were back in stock of the #130 so I picked that up.

acronym ♥: ELF meets NYX !!

I am such a PROCRASTINATOR ! I bought these NYX shadow testers in May of last yr from evilbay (as it’s commonly referred to on MUA). I honestly don’t remember what I paid for the lot err it being almost a yr n’ all. They’ve sat unused on my vanity just gathering dust :( I finally gave them a new home today !!! I used the elf palettes i’ve been stock piling for my mum. I was planning on depotting all of her MAC shadows & placing them in the elf palettes. She won’t mind :)

so here it goes..






I popped out the insert & glued the metal sheet to the bottom of the palette using a glue gun. Then I added magnets which I stole from my mum’s fridge :) I adhered them to the bottom of the pans w/ a glue gun as well. It took me foreverrr!!

Tada 7 new color coordinated palettes. I didn’t use all the shadows from the testers cuz really when am I ever gunna use Lime Green. I contemplated using a MAC pro palette but they’re $14 & the elf are $1 !! plus I think the end product is cute.
