Review: Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse

         Loving the texture of this foundation it’s very light and dries to a powder. The formula really keeps the skin looking hydrated & fresh. Unfortunately, I have been cursed with flakies around my nose and parts of my cheeks, it’s a HOT MESS, but the foundation really camouflages these bad areas. The coverage is light to medium & I use a damp cosmestic sponge to apply. The products claims to not clog pores & personally I haven't experienced any break outs :) The foundation also doesn't have any spf! so no worries at picture time. I'm wearing the foundation in 240 pure beige. I feel that the shades tend to lean more towards the yellow side perfect for my NC30-35 skin.




         I do have some issues tho’ my face tends to get a little shiny at around the four hour mark so I keep some MAC blot powder handy. Also, i’m not liking the packaging it’s bulky. Would have liked to see this product in a compact like the MAC studio tech foundation. The top compartment of the foundation houses a useless sponge applicator. The bottom portion twists off and holds the foundation

Sonia Kashuk replaced my MAC

Confession: I love my Sonia Kashuk more than my MAC brush



I’m talking about the infamous synthetic flat blusher brush. I washed it and to my surprise it did not shed at all. My MAC 109 sheds like no other while I bathe it. Since the synthetic bristles are a little dense it took all night to dry. I used it to apply my liquid foundation the next day and it was amazing. The brush did not shed one hair. The application was flawless with no streaks in sight. The best part is that the brush is a steal @ $14.99 and can be found at Target.



          On another note, I finished The Carrie Diaries & have yet to see the movie. I really enjoyed the book. I could not put it down and ended up reading the whole thing in two days. If you haven't read the book skip the rest for this paragraph. The young Carrie is as sassy, witty, and flirtatious as the Carrie Bradshaw we have seen on Sex and The City. Although she is not part of the popular clique in school she has a tight knit group of friends who she is very loyal to. For some reason I found it really hard to like any of her friends with the exception of Walt. His big reveal in the book was a little bit of a shocker. Carrie's love interest in the story is so a Mr. Big, he gives her mixed signals all the time. I really loved the writing in this book so much that I bought another book by Candace Bushnell called "One Fifth." I loved-loved-loved that book too !! If you like the Carrie Diaries I totally recommend "One Fifth." I can't wait to get my hands on more of her books. My friend Audrey suggested I check out Overstock.com they have very good prices on books & $2.95 shipping :)

so i used to be a slave to MAC bulk wipes
it’s a make up remover w/ moisturizer
but @ $ 26 per pack of 100.
i was really struggling with the idea if it was worth it

so i hit up tar-jay i started realllly low end with some
target brand ones comparable to the neutrogena brand (under $4 !!)
and they did the job just as good as the MAC ones.

then i found another target brand one made comparable to “Ponds clean sweep”
and i think these are the BEST they have little ridges so i feel like it gets more
make up off with one sweep & they’re very soft against the skin
they come infused with chamomile & vitamin E ! (also under $4 !!)



ohh & forget buying blotting paper wipes.
just use kleenex or any napkin will do :)
